The story explained

A National Energy Administration notice dated November 3, 2026 opens public consultation from November 5 through November 11 on 93 proposed AI energy pilot projects. Expert assessment and review have taken place, but the list remains a consultation draft rather than evidence that every project has received final approval or entered operation.

The attached list includes coordinated peak-shaving and intelligent control across gas-storage facilities, with PetroChina’s Southwest and Changqing operations among the scenario providers. Other entries address pipeline integrity and operating-state awareness involving PipeChina entities, as well as intelligent pressure-managed production of unconventional gas.

Thermal-power entries cover gas-turbine maintenance, flexible unit operation and intelligent boiler combustion control. One example is a 1,000 MW coal-fired boiler control demonstration involving Inner Mongolia Shengda Power. Organizations named in the attachment are identified as scenario or technology providers; they are not thereby confirmed equipment-award recipients.

Written objections during consultation must include a real name, contact details and factual grounds. The notice provides no valve, pump or control-system procurement budgets, quantities or tender schedules. It identifies application priorities but does not turn the 93 proposed pilots into confirmed equipment orders.
