The story explained

Excelerate Energy and AxDo Bahamas announced an 11-year LNG supply agreement on November 5, providing for deliveries of up to 16 trillion British thermal units annually. AxDo will be an anchor customer for the planned offshore storage and distribution terminal near Grand Bahama. The disclosed annual figure is a ceiling, not a guaranteed delivery volume.

AxDo was formed in October 2026 by Axpo and Bahamian company Domicisle LNG for small-scale LNG and bunkering activities. The proposed hub is intended to serve marine bunkering, power generation and other downstream users. The companies describe the agreement as a long-term commercial foundation for development.

Initial deliveries are expected in 2027 through Excelerate’s existing Jamaican supply and logistics platform. A second phase is expected to deploy a floating storage unit near Grand Bahama in 2028, subject to final permitting, construction timing and other contractual provisions. The announcement identifies an FSU, not an FSRU.

The confirmed milestone is the supply agreement; the offshore terminal remains planned infrastructure. No cryogenic-valve, pump or loading-system supplier, specification or equipment-order value is disclosed. Terminal completion, permitting and equipment procurement therefore remain separate matters for subsequent verification.
