Zhundong water-system EPC opens first butterfly-valve package
The November 5 notice covers the first butterfly-valve batch for the water-system and flare EPC, a separate package from the electric control valves.

The story explained
Donghua Engineering and Technology opened competitive negotiations on November 5, 2026 for the first butterfly-valve batch within the water-system and flare EPC for Xinjiang Shanneng Chemical’s 800,000-tonne-per-year coal-to-olefins project at Wucaiwan, Zhundong. Funding is stated to be in place; a supplier award has not been announced.
The package is H202608-D2-M3214-I093/01. Its scope is the first batch of butterfly valves, with detailed requirements reserved for the procurement documents. This is a separate equipment package from the previously announced electric control valves. Quantities, diameters, pressure classes, sealing materials and actuator configurations are not disclosed in the public notice.
Free document access runs from November 5 at 17:00 to November 8 at 18:00. Questions are due November 10 at 12:00 and responses November 13 at 12:00, all Beijing time. Responses are submitted online and no response guarantee is required.
Applicants need three comparable references from large or medium construction projects or key projects within the past five years, and must satisfy the EPC contract’s approved-supplier list. Consortia are excluded. The notice establishes procurement of this valve batch, rather than completion of all water-system ordering or a confirmed plant start-up date.
Why it matters
Editorial analysis: The water-system valve package is defined, while interfaces, sealing and drive selection still depend on service conditions and requisition data.
